How to Find Your Cell Phone Antenna Port

!±8± How to Find Your Cell Phone Antenna Port

There are Wilson cell phone and air card antenna adapters for over 500 mobile models. They are approximately 18" long. One end, FME Male, connects to the antenna cable. The other end connects to your cell phone.

Unless it is a very old mobile-phone, it does not connect to the charge port on the bottom of the phone.

Back Plug
Plugs into the adapter port on the upper back portion of your phone. A rubber or plastic plug may need to be removed. Press firmly to ensure a good connection - do not twist. Using too much force could damage your phone

Back Plug With Top Replacement Antenna
(Figures 1 & 2) Unscrew your original antenna which is blocking the adapter port - may have reversed threads. (Figure-3) Screw your included replacement antenna into the top of the phone. Your antenna adapter will now fit into the back of the phone - see above for Back Plug instructions

Bottom Plug
Plugs into the bottom of your cellphone. Push until you hear a click. Press button(s) in middle or on sides to release connecter from phone. Note: an RF charger may be available for your phone - it will allow you to charge your phone while using your external antenna.

Ring
Slide onto the base of your cellular phone's built in antenna. Press down firmly to ensure a good connection. Be sure to lower your phone's built in antenna.

RF Charger
RF Chargers are antenna adapters that have a built in battery charger. A single plug into the bottom of your phone will allow you to charge your phone while using your external antenna. Without the RF Charger you would have to unplug your charger to use your antenna.

Sleeve
Snap onto the back of your cellular phone. The sleeve must be mounted to the top of your phone. The sleeve may fit upside down but it will not function properly.

Top Plug
Plugs into the adapter port on the top of your phone. A rubber plug may need to be removed. Press firmly to ensure a good connection - do not twist. Using too much force could damage your phone. A small number of top plug phones require the removal of the original antenna to expose the port.

Top Screw
This antenna adapter replaces your cellular phone's original antenna. Unscrew your original antenna and screw in the antenna adapter. Be sure to save your original antenna - you will need to use it after disconnecting your antenna adapter.

Side Plug
Plugs into the adapter port on the upper-side of your phone. A rubber plug may need to be removed. Press firmly to ensure a good connection - do not twist. Using too much force could damage your phone.
